Amazing Dialogue system

This is an absolutely amazing dialogue system, it makes it so easy to create large amounts of branching dialogue. Having used it for a couple of weeks I couldnt imagine how much longer it would have taken to write dialogue with a graphical interface rather than plain text. It's also so easy to integrate with the rest of your project as you can send events with variables back to your C++ code or blueprints from the dialogue script. The VS code extension is a great little extra to colour code your dialogue script. Whats even more amazing is that its also available as open source but I'm happy to support the developer for this plugin and the camera effects are a great added extra that are worth the price alone.

Fantastic plugin. High quality, lightweight, efficient workflow, perfect relationship between programmers and script writers to allow them full creativity to be translated into gameplay easily.

The plugin covers a lot of angles that story telling requires (if not all for some cases !), in a clever and approachable way. The documentation is solid and thorough, the plugin is maintained regularly, and my suggestion was added the very next day !

Creator is pleasant to exchange with and very helpful and communicative. Great discord support.

I tried several dialogue plugins and this is the only one that, just after a couple days of messing around with it, I felt like I actually understood how it works at a good level. This is because I think it's designed well in a way that it's straight forward to customize and the developer is incredibly helpful.

Veteran Developer here, after investing a good amount of time putting together a similar system our team decided to switch to this based on the documentation and reputation of the developer and an active Discord community.

We were not disappointed. We've been able to make fast progress switching to a system with the tooling and backend support that make all the difference between a toy implementation and a system that allowed us to focus on narrative content. We've been able to extend the tool to work with Wwise easily and look forward to updates.

100% worth every penny.

I really prefer the more text style of dialogue, and this takes that and makes it work well in a 3d scene, as opposed to the Ink method of just being text.

Everything is easy to use, and it's based off an open source version which has tons of users, so things have been well tested. Dev is responsive on Discord, and easy to talk with.

Sinbad is an outstanding developer and his work on SPUD, StevesUEHelpers, SUQS, and now SUDS have all been instrumental in me getting my game feature complete in such a thorough manner. Highly recommended!

Excellent dialogue system - Really useful and well thought out implementation

i had started developing my own ink based dialogue system using inkcpp when i landed on this gem. This has saved me from easily months of additional work. SUDS system is inspired by ink so i was able to be productive from day one and coupled with the SUDS pro package i had dialogue system implemented with UI in a week!

Highly recommended! Super easy to get set up, with very thorough examples and great documentation (I had this running in my project within a couple hours). Extremely well thought out and elegant design - packed with features and a variety of workflows and options for getting dialogue and cut scenes up and running. I'm a big fan of the text-based format and the VS Code plugin is a great inclusion. Get it!

Outstanding dialogue system

This dialogue system is simply great:

The dialogue script syntax is concise and easy to learn.
The plain text files allow for easy version control.
The provided extension for VS Code makes the editing of the scripts comfortable.
The import process is quick.
It is easy to add voice-over to the dialogue.
The interaction between dialogue and the rest of the game works well.
The documentation is great.
There is an example project that shows exactly how to use the system.
I have been provided with great support by the author.

I cannot recommend this plugin highly enough.

Finally a dialogue system for me. One of the best.

There are a lot of dialogue solutions available on the Epic Marketplace, but SUDS Pro is one of the few that feel truly production ready.

While dialogue graphs may seem the most intuitive format, I have always found the screenplay format to be superior when it comes to actual writing. Writers can actually spend more time writing with little technical skill required. Write, save - and auto-import through Unreal Engine and you can iterate quicker than I've seen in other proprietary AAA game engines.

Testing dialogues in-editor is fantastic, speeding up your writing and debugging workflow saving you the dozens of hours you'd normally spent checking and debugging ithrough PIE.

There is some setup work required for the UI - so it won't work immediately out of the box, but the excellent documentation and the example project will give you everything you need for stress-free implementation.

I have received great support on Discord and highly recommend this for anyone wanting to incorporate branching dialogues into their game.

Moving over from Articy which has given us nothing but headaches and it has been a breeze to get up and running with SUDS.

It is well documented, expertly coded and covers most usecases we've had.

So far the best system we've come across on the marketplace.
